I got Kane back in October and he's been eating/drinking/pooing fine but hasn't shed at all. Just wondered what the reason could be behind it and should i be worried or getting him checked over at the vets?

Don't worry about it. He'll shed when he needs too |

Patrick last shed with his previous owners back in mid october a week before we got him. He still has not shed since we had him so its about 10 weeks now and still no sign of a shed so i really wouldn't worry to much. |

I believe it depends on age and rate of growth as to how long in between sheds. If your guy is pretty much full grown, you'll find he slows down immensely with the shedding, unless he gets injured, when he will shed a lot to replace the scales and shed out the injured area. Not a good way of putting it, but the only way I can think to explain that bit XD When younger, they will shed more often due to needing the room to grow. If you have a bigger, older snake, I REALLY wouldn't worry about it ^^ He'll do it in his own time, and he'll shock ya one day with a big ol' skin trailing around the viv! |
