A simple question, yet hard to be find answer. I've read multiple times they are nocturnal or crepuscular but... When is the corn snake activity period? Late afternoon? Evening? Far night?
I suppose it might vary with individual but all animal have a standard, a general pattern. When do your corns snakes wander around their vivs?

Mine pocks his head out between 8.30 -9pm and sometimes has a wander around. However when we go to bed and the lights are out is the guaranteed time he comes out as I creep down and spy on him. He is only 7 months old, we have had him about 2 months, and he is coming out a lot more now than when we first got him so older corns may be completely different.

The only time I ever see my 3 out and about is when I get in from work around 3am! But as soon as the lights go on they scurry off...

My snake usually comes out at around 11am and again at about 5pm wanting to come out of the viv to play for a short while. He then usually comes out at around 8pm for another play and then will stay active for most of the night. I have been downstairs at 3am and he is still active.

crepuscular - most active at dawn and dusk, though as there's no potential predators in their enclosures they pretty much come and go as they please

I know this might be sightly blasphemous in a corn snake forum, but it is important to compare, but how are milk snakes and russian rat snakes (elaphe schrencki) in this aspect?

^ I imagine most snakes are crepusclar. Snakes aren't known for navigating in the dark like owls or bats as far as I am aware and many animals do not come out in broad day light. I suppose really a big thing is how dark and how much light your room gets, curtains and stuff. As soon as I open my curtains early in the morning, my baby corns and Char go back to bed.
Char is 7pm-9pm and 4am-6am at the moment. Venom however is up mostly during the day keeping an eye on what I am doing :D

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

My tallulah belle is out as soon as she hears someone come in the bedroom room, she likes to have a good nose around, and as soon as you open her viv she comes right up and out to look at you. It's so cute, she also likes to climb as were going to sleep, It's like she likes it better when someone's in the room with her.

Think they all vary, Karuza is active for about 4 hours through the day. The other night we were all watching a dvd, karuza was trying to find an escape so i took her out much to her delight and she fell asleep in my hood of my jumper for a good 20 mins before putting her back in the viv. Then a few hours later (3am i was still up as usual) and she was back out again. x

I've only noticed ours exploring around 6-7am and 9-11pm. Not seen her during the day yet as been at work since we got her. Will know more on Saturday. When i go to sleep she's in her warm spot (not the hide, but behind/under the fake plants), when i wake up she is in her cool hide. We dont hear much during the night tho to be honest.
