Our 11 month old corn snake was due to be fed on the day we bought him (24th July), so the seller never fed him in case he regurgitated on the journey home. We've had him 5 days now, and looking on his feeding chart he was last fed on the 14th July. He's used to being fed in a small feeding box, so I was wondering if it would be best to feed him tonight in his viv (put food on kitchen roll), or wait until Monday when he can be handled and feed the way he's used to? |

I'm hoping he'll be more settled by Monday. Already see a big difference, and he's coming out of his hiding place earlier each night, so hopefully he'll be fine when we take him out on Monday for a short handling and feed |

No worries at all about him starving, snakes can go for weeks with no food. He'll be fine being fed on Mon. I'd personally feed him in a tub as he's used to being fed that way. Its also a good time to weigh your snake and you get to see them feed in all their glory too. |

Well glad to say it all went well My daughter got him out yesterday for a hold and we put him into his feeding container and gave him his dinner.I was amazed how quickly he ate it! I was so relieved it went as planned, was worried he wouldn't eat or would be stressed, but he was lovely and really enjoyed being out for a little while. |

I have a similar problem. Was meant to feed yesterday (if i hadnt bought it). The guy at the shop said you can try feed it fri/sat. Should i just wait til Sun/Mon so its had the 7 days to settle??
Glad yours went smoothly |

As said above, snakes can go weeks without feeding. So if u want to leave to Monday then im sure Lilith wouldnt mind! I fed Karuza on day 2, mainly because she went over 8 weeks without a feed from previous owner, she ate fine. No regurg, got a poo the next day (oh delightful) x |

Hmm ok, think i will try it on Sunday as i think we are both in all day. We ideally want sunday to be the feeding day as its the only day we are both off work. |

Certainly will do. Took a few of her exploring this morning (posted them in the photo section). She's getting more confident. |
