Tinker! She'll probably wait for you to get back, walk through the door and check on her, then as soon as your out of the room for 5 minutes go and shed so you'll still miss it lol

Got back early hours last night and checked on her, she was under the tub I used for a moss hide and had moved all the aspen away so she was directly over the heat mat (outside and under the faun). She was all cosy and smooth and silky to touch- in deep blue so I have left her alone today and will just wait patiently for her to do her thang.

Nice one, congrats :-). And her colours seemed to have brightened so much, too :-)

Just a quick one - it's not very clear from the photo - but does the shed skin have the very tip of the tail there? It's always worth checking, the tip can sometimes get stuck, and it's quite difficult to spot. I found the best way to check is to look at the shed against the light, even with magnifying glass, if they're little - that way you can see the tip, even f it's been left inside the shed, inside out.

Did you get to see her shedding? :-)

She did have a little retained on the very tip of her tail but I took that off for her last night, it was such a good shed this time so I think we can chalk up her first one with me being so bad due to my inexperience.

I got to see the last half to a third of it but not very well as she done it through her sock/tube hide- untangling that trying not to rip her shed was fun lol.
Her sock hide is basically the sock I put in her faun to get her used to my smell with the toe cut out and a toilet paper roll in it at the top to keep it open for her. So she went in the top, out the toe and back in the top again *rolls eyes*
I would say its her second favourite hide after her skull.

Tat seems to be a very useful snake shedding detector, I would have missed it if she hadnt tried to get up on Sybils table to watch (read: stalk) Sybil.

She's gorgeous, and growing so fast :-)

Don't worry about the first shed being in pieces, I don't think it was due to inexperience. It might have been because she just moved, it might have been due to care previously, or it might have just been one of - that happens. Little T always used to shed ok, then suddenly had a really bad shed, in many pieces, despite having a moist hide, and the humidity being high. Next shed was ok again. :-)

Thank you, I think she is gorgeous too but then Im meant to lol.
I cant see that she is growing but the snake measuring app thing and her weight tell me she is, I just cant see it.

The bad shed might have been just one of those things, she had been here a month before she shed and it was still freezing here so I had the heating on a lot and thinking back that probably dried the air out a bit and the damp paper towels werent giving her enough moisture back. but this shed I put a moss hide in the faun- in the warm end- as soon as she went in blue as I was going away for the weekend and when I got back I replaced the moss hide with a water bowl and she seemed to like drinking that better than the cold one lol.

Im starting to think they do odd things like bad shed and refuse just to make us worry and have a giggle at us running about like like headless chickens.

Sybs is soon going to have to say goodbye to hers, Im already taking it out when I feed her until a day or so after when she isnt as bumpy lol. She still has room to fit through all the holes but I am being very cautious about it, she might have maybe another month or so with it- depending how she grows in that time.

Some more outdoor fun.

Excuse the fingers but Sybil doesnt like the feeding tongs... She attacks them and gets all defensive so I have started just holding the mouse by the tail and it seems to be working and she is eating with no issues. (she used to do the same when I fed her in a RUB!)

I am literally sat on my doorstep for the outside pictures, though my door is around the back of the building so that does help.

im hoping I will still have an outside area, when and if I ever get housed, if not, then I will just have to make one lol

Haha, my doorstep is basically leading out to a main road... no back door :( Can't really see me walking him to the local park for a photoshoot ;)

One day I'll win the euromillions and have a sprawling garden for the entire household to enjoy (Mercy is an indoor cat due to injury and lack of secure garden :S)

If you win the euromillions the household would grow and grow and grow, never mind the garden lol
