can anyone tell me if this is normal.when my snake jake is resting he sits there with his mouth open.apart from that he is well.eating pooing peeing and shedding.hes always done it and seems fine apart from this.hope someone can help.thanks in advanced.

I wouldn't think that's normal, but don't know what to suggest. I've seen snakes doing it, when they were hot, in an overheated garden centre...

Can you check his mouth, just to see if there's anything stuck somewhere in his mouth or throat, or any sign of mucous, sores, discoloration, bubbles, saliva? Any sign of wheezing?

no raze.i took him to the vets a while back and she couldn't find anything wrong with him.the temps in his viv is spot on so im as baffled as you.ill just have to keep an eye on him.

My thinking would be the same as Razee's, in that it was because of either a too hot viv or because of an RI. Did you ask your vet about it?
