Hi, just wondering if this is normal. We've had our corn snake for about a month now and she's feed weekly every week. This week however I have noticed she's be unusually active and inquisitive trying to get out of her viv then when we tried to feed her yesterday she didn't eat her mouse she usually love to eat her mouse so this is strange. Any ideas why she is doing this? Thanks!

What is the temperature in her viv ( warm and cold end, and how do you measure them )? With the warm weather, you have to be extra careful the temperatures aren't too high. She could also be due to shed, although normally they'd do the opposite, just go quiet and hide away. Is she a hatchling, or an adult snake?

I echo Razee's questions. I'm assuming her viv/RUB is heated by a heatmat, controlled by a thermostat and monitored by a digital thermometer? As already asked, what is the warm end temp? What are you feeding her? How much does she weigh? How do you normally feed her, in her viv/RUB or out?

The weather does seem to be effecting some snakes. With mine it's making their breeding season behaviour continue past the end of May. Her behaviour is reminiscent of that, cruising around the viv trying to escape and refusing to eat, but it's good to make sure there isn't anything else causing it.

Corns can go a long time without food so try not to worry. It's just a case of working out why and keeping an eye on her weight.
